Series

A series is a group of competitions with an overall ranking combining all results of the contained events.

Any events can be combined into a series. They don't need to be held by the same gym nor do they need to use the same settings. However, they must all be bouldering competitions, because there is no meaningful way to evaluate route setting competitions in a series.

Participants need to sign up for each event individually. There's currently no way to sign up for all events in a series with just one step. This is due to the fact that each event can be held by a different organizer with different payment options.

Categories

In events with a differentiation between Power and Relaxed level, only the Power level participations will be taken into account for the series ranking.

Scoring

The way the overall ranking in an event series is calculated differs depending mainly on the evaluation modes selected in the contained events:

If all of the events use the static mode and none of the events have a final, then all of the events' points are added up.

In all other cases, participants will be awarded points for their respective placing in each competition and those points are added up. This is necessary because it wouldn't be possible to combine the results of the final and the qualifying otherwise. If a dynamic evaluation is used in one of the events, the points gained from that boulder are determined by the number of ascents and therefore it would be difficult to compare points between events with different numbers of participants.

Only participations with at least one ascent will be taken into account when it comes to the series ranking. This prevents no-show participants to gain points in events that ony have a low number of participants.

Scores based on positions
